Holešov

The administrative district of Holešov is located in the northern part of the Zlín Region and borders the Olomouc Region to the north. Its neighbor is the administrative district of Kroměříž to the west, Otrokovice and Zlín to the south and southeast, and Bystřice pod Hostýnem to the east. It is the second smallest administrative district in the region. The district is located in the Holešov Plateau in the southeastern part of the Upper Moravian Valley, which is formed by the deposits of rivers flowing down from the Hostýnské Hills. It is the district with the largest share of agricultural land, occupying three quarters of the total area. It also has the largest share of arable land in the region.
